ADVENTURE/TRANSITION – Beginner/Intermediate Level Athletes
$88/month; T, Th 4:15-5:15
The ‘Adventure’ class introduces our younger, or less experienced athletes, to basic movement principles along with basic fitness and age-appropriate strength training. We emphasize athletic movement patterns and neuromuscular control and coordination. They will learn to understand the importance of an appropriate/dynamic warm-up, basic footwork and speed training, and general strength and conditioning.
Like the ‘Adventure’ phase of the AFX Developmental Model, ‘Transition’ is based on young participants establishing ‘athletic intelligence’ through a carefully planned programming structure that allows them to learn and comprehend both simple and complex motor skills. Expanding on what our younger athletes learn, ‘Transition’ also includes an educational portion within which AFX Coaches break down and instruct participants on specific aspects of exercise execution.
ATHLETE – Advanced Level Athletes
$99/month; M, F 4:15-5:15, PLUS OPEN GYM HOURS
The ‘Athlete’phase is where more concerted training application takes place. Whether the goal is sporting excellence, fitness, wellness or obesity prevention, this portion of the AFX Developmental Model is based on solid execution and fundamental training habits so that each participant can maximize their respective goals.
NEXT LEVEL – Athletes wishing to take it to the ‘Next Level’
$149/month; Ongoing, by appointment.
This is where the focus changes from general fitness and athletic skill development to individualized programming to address specific deficits and improve necessary skills for sport participation in our advanced athletes. After a thorough assessment of mobility, flexibility, strength, power and endurance, and based on the reported goals of the athlete, we will prepare a thorough and comprehensive program to help each athlete achieve his/her goals. This is a closely supervised, progressive program with regular reassessments and program adjustments. (Call for more detailed information).
